What is an Affiliate?
An Affiliate is a partner capable of helping your business by sending traffic to your booking engine. You can incentivise these partners to link to your web site and booking engine through a commission paid on complete sales. iBooking have developed an Affiliate management platform integrated within iBooking Ticket. It’s included within your account and is ready to use.
Login to your Secure Back-Office
As with all features of your account, you need to start by logging into your secure account using the MyiBooking link on the iBooking.com web site.
Log in into the account Admin section. (https://www.ibooking.com/myibooking/)
Adding a New Affiliate
Click on Management > Affiliates, and then click on the Add New Affiliate.
How to find the Affiliates section within your secure back office.
Add a New Affiliate
Complete the form to create your first affiliate account. The username and password will be used by the Affiliate to login to their own account to track their performance. Don’t worry – the affiliate never has access to your secure back office.
You must provide a valid email address and the affiliate’s website URL and a contact number. You can check the box to forward the booking emails booked from the affiliate’s URL.
You can create and manage the Affiliate bank account details. This is so you have a record of where to make payments. Payments are only required when the Affiliate has delivered completed bookings. You have full control over the commission rate you pay to each Affiliate.
You can set the affiliate's referral commission rate as a percentage and the affiliate commission start date.
After successful creation of an Affiliate, you can view a list of all your Affiliates along with the status, web site, and contact details.
Affiliate Account Confirmation Email
Once an Affiliate account has been enabled, you can send a confirmation email manually to the affiliate’s email address. They will receive a welcome email with their affiliate login details & affiliate dashboard URL. The Affiliate dashboard is where the Affiliate goes to check details of any bookings they have referred to you.
Customization Of Email Template
If you want, you are able to customise the contents of the welcome email sent to each Affiliate.
Affiliate Tracking Code
The LINKS option allows the Affiliate to pick up the unique linking code that connects their site to yours. Every booking made through this link is attributed to that Affiliate. This is how we are able to capture the commission that you would then pay to the Affiliate as an ongoing incentive to keep referring customers.
You can specify a unique affiliate URL for different tours or journeys.
Affiliate Linking Code
Here is an example of the Affiliate Linking code to be added to the Affiliate web site.
This HTML code contains a URL for the specific tour or journey along with an affiliate ID as your unique identifier. This link will allow us to accurately track all of your referrals and automatically award affiliate commissions.
Customize Tour/Journey Prices for Affiliates
In Add/Edit Affiliates, there is an option to enable the customization of a specific tour or journey commission. You can also set different ticket prices enabled only for that Affiliate. For example, to allow an Affiliate to advertise special rates just for their customers.
